Investors are starting to get a little uncomfortable. Financial markets rode a roller-coast last week with inflation jumping and fuel shortages hitting the East Coast. Most of the fear has calmed - gas stations refueled and the CDC announced new mask/distancing guidance for those who have been fully vaccinated.
Economic reports from last week came back mixed:
•Small Business Optimism - worse than expectation •Job Openings - better than expectation •Jobless Claims - better with expectation
•Consumer Sentiment - worse than expectation
This week, investors will look for guidance from economic reports like Manufacturing, Housing and Jobless Claims.
